ANTEA 9th Worldwide Conference - Lisbon , Portugal
ANTEA was pleased to welcome its members from all over the world to the 9th Worldwide Conference, held in Lisbon, Portugal 2 -4 November.
The conference connected 84 delegates to network and build/reinforce business relationships around the world, to share the latest insights in the accounting and business environment and to understand how firms can expand their businesses into new territories. New members from Finland, Malta, Russia and Ukraine were welcome, as well as prospective members from India and Ireland.
After updating delegates on what ANTEA has achieved in the last 12 months as well as projected plans for the future, a comprehensive update on “Doing Business in Portugal” followed.
Enrique Garbino – Uruguay, led an engaging discussion on “Milennials” which was warmly received and Ofir Angel hosted a presentation on “Technologies applied to services” which enabled specialist delegates to be invited to present on the latest technical developments in their firms.
After lunch, we enjoyed a dynamic team building game, where members learn from each other and share/discuss their firm’s key issues as well as successes within their practices.
After that the technical sessions took place, the Tax & Legal Technical group was chaired by Ofir Angel, Israel and the Corporate Technical group was chaired by Lothar Schulz, Germany.
The official conference concluded with a grand finale at the beautiful restaurant Casa de Linhares where delegates and guests enjoyed a night of traditional Portuguese food and fado.
On Saturday, there were a half day of networking excursion to Belem, followed by a walking tour of Lisbon´s beautiful city center, along with a lunch in the impressive location of the old casino.
